Phalse ka Sharbat-Made in heaven

It is actually lifesaving beverage to enjoy in summers and is popular in Uttar Pradesh. We always used to listen the vendor voice in local lanes –Take cold and sweet phalse, nowadays we do not get this juicy fruit (half size of Jamun) in abundance.

Benefits of sharbat:-

  • Falsa is rich in potassium, Vitamin A, C and K and is good for regulating Blood Pressure.
  • It is very good in controlling cholesterol, cure Anemia as well.
  • It also helps to cure indigestion, acidity, nausea, and headache.
  • It is best to cure respiratory problems, Asthma, cough and cold.
  • It is applied on the skin to recover eczema, pimple, acne and boils.

Ingredients:-

Phalsa-250 grams(1.5 cup)

Sugar-Less than 1/2 cup

Black salt/pink Himalayan salt-1/2 tsp

Roasted cumin powder

7-8 mint leaves

Ice cubes /crushed ice

    HOW TO MAKE

    1. Wash phalse and place them in sieve and let the excess water drain out.
    2. Take a blender jar, add phalsa, sugar and 2 glasses of water and churn it slightly.
    3. Now strain it with a fine strainer and collect the juice in a bowl.
    4. Add 2 glasses of water, pink salt, roasted cumin powder, some chopped mint leaves and refrigerate juice for an hour to chill.
    5. Now add some crushed ice in a glass and then pour the juice in chilled glass.
    6. Garnish with some mint leaves and serve.
