COVID-19 has change everyone’s normal life style of people all across the world, but virtual method is a great escape in this drastic time.

It is a great alternative to face-to face classes, starting online from pre-nursery to university level including competitive exams.

And in maintaining the smooth ongoing of virtual classes, great teamwork by government, Edu tech companies, teachers, parents and our kudos are playing main role in this new experience of education.

But there is well said quote, every coin has two parts-negative and positive impacts.

Negative: –

•  Remote areas: – 

Virtual or online learning need smartphone, laptop, desktop, tablet with net connection is must but in remote areas only 1-2 smartphone with limited data pack is availability. So, it is great pressure for parents to organise all online sources with limited resources.

Difficult online sources with less resources

• In E-learning peers’ conversation and face to face interaction among teachers and students is missing.
• Poor eye vision: –

Kids are now wearing spectacles more as compare to classroom pattern as the have to spend more time in front of electronic gadgets.

• Poor internet connectivity: – 

Because of net issues, teachers have to repeat multiple times and kids also cannot answer on their turns some times and online classes become long sometimes. It takes more than 45 minutes to cover the portion that can be completed in 30 minutes with in a class. 

• Not having extra computers: – 

Many students and teachers do not have spare desktop facility at their houses and cannot even buy it as of lock down phase. Teachers have no another option and only by using small screen smart phone they cannot put stress on weaker section as there is no trick to determine who is paying focus and whom is not

• Kids also sometimes take benefit of it

If teacher ask a question and student do not know its answer, he or she will not unmute their mic or big and very simple excuse that mam, I could not answer at that time because of some internet issue, and teachers cannot say or do anything in this situation.

Additional homework for parents: –In online classes, parents have to scheduled their office and household chores according to their kid’s classes schedule. 

          Something is better than nothing

Positive: –

• It makes students to develop self-learning habit, as if some questions are confusing to them, they have to find the solution by their own, or they can ask to respective teachers via email or chat but that can take time.
•  Enjoy sleep at early morning: –

Nowadays small kids do not need to get up early in the morning as their classes usually starts after 9:00am only.

To attend regular classes, fixed schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm kids need to followed.

Cosy corner: –

In e-learning kiddos can sit in any corner of house and start or replay the study material whenever they want.

It is only solution to push ahead this academic calendar. Kids are getting properly scheduled calendar with time break in between so that can get away from screen for some time.

It makes interaction between parents and teacher more personal. Parents teacher meetings, personal WhatsApp chat and number are being shared between them, so individual conversation can be made easily in a unique and new way. 

• Kids creative corner: – 

In this pandemic phase, kids can spare more time and showcase their creative side as well. My daughter and her class friends are doing wonder and no one know they can be future artist, dancer, pianist etc. Because they can sit in cosy environment and can do whatever they want to perform.

• Parents are also playing and taking part in children’s education and nowadays they exactly know what is happening in virtual classes. 
• Schools are also keeping a period of recreational classes like art-craft, music. Sports etc so that they can fresh start their day and can be charged for entire day.

Every child is different in their style with unique talent and students like to learn more quickly through gadgets in a fun way learning as compare to textbooks. 

Kids are much better than us on technology points. My daughter is alive example of it. She knows much more about laptop techniques and just completely amazed me. Digital platform has changed the entire idea, face, look of classroom. 

So, parents just relax and take a back seat and let children to explore the world. Whole life is ahead to excel in academics.

My main goal of writing this blog is to point out some good and some disadvantages about this ongoing scenario of online education as it is new experience for all.
