In layman language, it means to give rest to our body from sugary, preservative drinks.

                        DETOX DRINK

  • They are best for digestion and boosts body metabolism. Thus, it aids in weight loss trip by cleans/flushing out toxins from the body.
  • It also helps to filter out toxins from food we consume on daily basis.
  • It minimizes the sign of ageing and purify skin cell, make our skin more charming and we can flaunt our skin anywhere with full grace.

Here, I am sharing few detox drinks which we can make with regular herbs and spices in our kitchen and enjoy a powerful shot which is guilt free on daily basis.

1)Fennel seeds or saunf water: –

As, we all know that saunf is always kept as refreshment in all restaurant to aid in digestion and we also put these seeds in most of the pickles like gajar, aam ka achar, green chilli, amla etc.

It is very easy to make this water: –

  • Lightly roast the fennel seeds and add in 1 litre of boiling water. Switch off the flame and cover it with a pan to restore its aroma, and let the water to come at room temperature.

Transfer the water in a jug and sip this water throughout the day.

Why to take this water: –

  • It helps in weight loss as it speeds up metabolism and suppress hunger attacks.
  • I t helps to get a deep sleep.
  • It aids digestion and purifies the blood.
  • It reduces acidity.

2) Coriander or dhania seeds water:

 Surprise: Dhania seeds are bag of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, iron, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, C, K, so it helps in solving various health issues.

Easy method: –

  • Take two cups of water in a pan and add 2 teaspoons of dhania seeds in it. Cover it and let it boil for 15 minutes on low flame. Switch off the flame, strain the water and enjoy this miraculous drink in morning on empty stomach.

Benefits: –

  • It makes skin glow by sipping this water.
  • It controls cholesterol level.
  • It helps to fight against cold.
  • It helps people with thyroid (as it is power package of vitamin and minerals) and diabetes problem (by reducing blood glucose level and maintain insulin activity)
  • It also helps people to shed extra weight.

3) Cinnamon+ turmeric/Haldi +lemon: –

It is great to have in morning but can be taken at any time of day. It can be also taken just before sleep to prevent late-night hunger pangs.

Recipe of turmeric cinnamon detox water: –

  • Add one and half cup of water in a pan.
  • Let water boil for 2-3 minutes, add raw turmeric or pinch of turmeric powder in it.
  • Mix well and continue heat it for 1 more minute.
  • Now its time to add pinch of cinnamon powder and mix both well.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Let this mixture cool down and add lemon juice in it.

 

Advantages: –

  • Turmeric has anti-septic properties, helps in cough and cold.
  • Cinnamon is a spice loaded with anti-oxidants and it helps to targets on belly fat first.
  • Lemon is rich in vitamin C and contains polyphenol anti-oxidants significantly lowers weight gain and also prevents from constipation.
