Diwali 2020 is around the corner and as this November month step in, our heart is full of excitements and mind with ideas. But we have to celebrate this Rows of lights with precautions and follow rules of social-distancing and avoid over gathering places because still corona cases are raising on daily basis.
We would pray to god and bring positive vibes in our house by decorating flowers, lighting Diya’s, mouth-watering dishes and sweets, drawing colourful rangoli at the main door and cleanliness matters a lot.
In this blog, I would like to share my few Diwali plans which would be surely worthful and reasonable to all my gorgeous viewers:
1) Plan Virtual Festive Tips: –
Festive vibes in Diwali means relatives and family togetherness and happiness among others.
I am planning to give surprise like sending gifts online and organising live dance performance, musical concert show, live game rock, giving E-greetings in form of health and prosperity are some of my digital ways which I am going to organise for my closed ones.

2) Go for E-rangoli with flowers and colours: –
Teachers are going to opt for virtual assembly to make this fest livelier for kids at home so that it could be a long -lasting memories for them.
They can ask to make rangolis for fun or in competitive form and can make videos and share on a group. After that teachers can showcase it on their school page. All students are going to surely love this way of celebrations.
At home also, we can do such exciting things which doubles our house grace with colours. We can make Lakshmi ji feet and put decorated stones around it.
I am going to share my rangoli photos on my what’s app group and also on Facebook page.
3) Share a story or self-compose poem on Diwali: –
My daughter make an acrostic poem on Diwali
D: -Decorate houses
I: -Indian love to eat sweet
W: Worship Lakshmi ji and Ganesa
A: -Autumn is ready to celebrate
L: Lighten Diya’s
I: -Inviting gods
Parents can inquire their kiddos to narrate a story using self-made puppets and can create good puppets like Ravana, Ram, Sita etc.
They can prepare to recite a poem or animated clips on Diwali characters with beautiful ethnic dresses with some party food available in front of them.
4) Role-play by family: –
Make role play interesting by every family member participation in fun and creative way. Ask your mother to become Sita maiya, father could become Shree Ram ji, you and your siblings may be (Luv and Kush), chachu or uncle (Lakshman) etc.
They can share their happiness via online video and kids along with grandparents would surely cherish this moment and it enhances their knowledge zone also.
5) Make it eco-friendly: –
We can gift trees, artificial or real flowers, colourful rangoli colours, some packets of pop-up, home-made items instead of sweets, crackers, as they give pollution and health risks to our near ones.

Trees are natural air-purifiers like basil(tulsi), aloe-vera etc which add extra beauty to our home as well. They are loaded with medicinal value as well to our body.
I am planning to gift organic soaps, tea, gift hampers, ornaments to our care ones.

So, try to make it as pollution-free and healthy with wellness sort of Deepawali.
6) Donate items which we do not use: –
Its better to donate than to accumulate things in store rooms.
Always donate toys, clothes, stationary items, school bags to needy persons which are in good and reusable situation.
They give good wishes to our family in return which means a lot now. Make one of big cardboard box and put a Donation sticker on it and just collect all that stuff which is good to go for others. We can contact online to some Angio’s, social ventures which provide door-to door donation step services.
I, am going to give my daughter toys and clothes to our maid and some other workers as well.
7) Do something good this Diwali: –
Parents are generally role model for their munchkins. So, try to set good example in front of them:
- Say no to fire crackers
- Never use sanitizer before lighten Diya’s/candles
- Giving food to hungry
- Take care of street dogs
- Planting a tree
- Meeting an old friend
- Keep quiz for them on Diwali
Wear thinking cap this time, it would give you internal joy by giving and not expecting from others.
So, my main goal of this blog is to figure out and help you to plan safe and happy celebrations.
