As we all know, marriages are around the corner to enjoy fully and it’s time to attack on hard drinks and party food.
Let us party and grab all tempting cheesy pizza, buttery pao bhaji, watery gol gapes, oily tikis, sugary round and round jalebis and we indulge in excess of carbs, fats, sugar, salty and alcohol and all make us bloated, tired, guilty in some of corner.
No one can resist after seeing such lip-snacking foods. After that we have to pull our socks to flush out toxins, as this binge gets over.

So, in our family we have to ready to attend parties, but on same time, mind and body is also ready to make detox juices and it has very good effect.
The bad news is that we are nowhere at end of marriage mood, and good news is time to detox right now, otherwise temporary changes in form of weight gain, acidity would become permanent.
Before starting a detox diet, few important things to keep in mind are: –
- Sound sleep
- Exercise regularly
- Drink more water
- Eat smartly and choose healthy options
- Grab colourful veggies and fruits
- Include 3 main meals with 2 mid -morning and mid-evening snack items along with herbal tea to calm mind.
- Avoid simple carbohydrates like pasta, white bread, Maida, etc.
Here, I am sharing few detox juices/drinks which show tremendous changes in body and give glow to face by positive changes in mind.
GO GREEN: –
This superb combination of ginger, cucumber, green apple, sprig of mint offers sweet as well as refresh digestive system.
Ginger provides a strong kick while combo of green apple balances well with cucumber pieces.
INGREDIENTS
- Ginger grated
- 1Green apple, cut in half
- Sprig of mint leaves
- 1Cucumber
- 1 tea spoon of lemon juice.
All you need to wash, cut fruits and vegetables in to chunks. Put in a jar and serve it chilled or at normal temperature.
Powerhouse drink: –
It is regarded as powerhouse because of its ingredients list.
Let us start: –
- Ginger grated
- Pinch of turmeric
- 1 red Carrot
- 1 Orange
- Half teaspoon of Lemon juice
Oranges are power stock of antioxidants and vitamin C.
Carrots are loaded with beta carotene and fibres which aids in digestion and weight loss.
Ginger and turmeric are old home remedies to cure body cramps, relieves bloating.
Snowy drink: –
Now you might be surprised to read its name as snowy. But let me clear it. I name it as so because of drink colour that will be prepared.
Ingredient: –
- Fresh coconut water
- Mint
- Lemon
This quick delight will leave you fresh and sooth our thirst and soul as well.
Valentine red drink: –
It is one of my personal favourites because of its colour with endless benefits.
Ingredients:
- 1 Beetroot (peeled and diced)
- Half cup Pomegranate seeds
- 1 apple (peeled and diced)
- Half cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of flax seed /chia seeds
Note: – Avoid straining it as pulp in drink is full of fibre and nutrients.
Benefits of juice
It helps in skin glow naturally (act as blood purifier).
It acts as boon to digestion (loaded with fibres).
It gives instant energy and build stamina as well.
It helps to control blood pressure.
