Wedding season is around the corner and mehndi ceremony is integral part of it. Everyone likes to have beautiful designs and specially wish to have that dark colour and mehndi artists use some fragrance oil before applying mehndi over hands. Dark coloured hands are reflection of husband love for them.

Mehndi doubles our overall look as it makes hands and feet attractive, authentic and beautiful.

We use everything like applying mustard oil, lemon sugar mixture, keep hands over fumes of cloves etc to make it darker.

But after few days, as it gets fade and make our skin dry and rough as well. In fact, we want to just get rid of it completely as soon as possible to get our beautiful hand again.

So, here I am sharing few home remedies to get away mehndi stains quickly: –

1 – Lemon juice: –

As we all know lemon is great to known for its bleaching properties, and it lightens mehndi colour as well.

Remedy: -Soak hands and feet in a bucket half filled with lukewarm water and pour 4-5 tablespoons of lemon juice in it for maximum 10 minutes.

Always apply moisturizer after drying your hands with soft towel.

It is best to repeat once or twice a day.

 

Precaution: -Make sure hand or feet are free of any cuts as lemon might make wound painful.

2 – Gentle massage with olive oil:

  • Olive oil is great emulsifier to mehndi stains and combine it with salt aids up the whole idea.

Home remedy: -Soak cotton swab in olive oil mixed with salt for quick result.

 Let oil absorbed in your skin for 10 minutes.

It is best to repeat twice in a day. 

3 – Coconut oil and sugar miracle: –

Sugar is very well known for darken mehndi colour, but also to lighten stains mixed with coconut oil.

  • Combination works as powerful exfoliator to remove such faded areas on hands.

Remedy: -Apply coconut oil on your mehndi areas and gently rub them. Allow skin to absorb it for 5 minutes.

 After that, apply coating of sugar with a brush or loofah. Rinse off with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.

Do not forget to apply moisturiser.

  • Wash hands with antibacterial soap is also good to go.

  • Physical activity: –

Doing any form of exercise like running, jumping etc. make possible that design starts to be lighter than before through sweat and perspiration. It burns extra calories as well.
